Margaret Bovender, FNP-C
Margaret Bovender loves helping her patients understand health issues and find solutions. "Working in my position is like putting puzzle pieces together and using critical thinking to solve a mystery," the certified family nurse practitioner said. "It's fulfilling to be able to help people, make them feel better, and improve their health and quality of life."
Bovender chose family medicine because of the variety of people she gets to help and cases she gets to see. "But I particularly enjoy focusing on nutrition and weight management," Bovender said. "The benefits are not only for weight loss, but better overall health that can help control or prevent various chronic illnesses.
"With my weight management patients, their appointments are one-on-one and their program is specifically designed for the individual," she explained. "But truly I strive to provide every patient with personal attention. I want all patients to feel their questions and concerns are listened to and addressed, and their worries are put to rest when they are seen in our office."
While away from the office, Bovender enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, daughter and son. "We really enjoy being active together, whether that's walking, running, riding bikes, swimming, or playing baseball or jumping on the trampoline in the backyard."
