Dr. Takashi Hirata has been recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance for diabetes, heart and stroke care. NCQA is a private, non-profit organization focused on improving the quality of medical care. To earn these recognitions, Dr. Hirata has had to demonstrate his ability to consistently provide superior care to patients suffering from diabetes, as well as ailments tied to heart problems and strokes. Dr. Hirata is committed to using evidence-based measures to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients.
Novant Health Hillsdale Medical Associates has been recognized by the NCQA as a Patient-Centered Medical Home. This designation reflects our office's focus on patient-centered care that is well coordinated and focused on communication and patient involvement.
The American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation has given Dr. Hirata its prestigious Pfizer Teacher Development Award. This is in recognition of Dr. Hirata's efforts to educate the next generation of family physicians. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Wake Forest University's School of Medicine and actively involved in teaching.
He also serves as a consultant for the local health department for the Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program and the section for Family Planning.
